You've Got Questions...

I've got  answers!

  • My significant other does NOT want to come to counseling, but I know we need it. Does counseling still work with just one person?
YES! Often one couple is resistant to therapy because they have had a bad experience in therapy before, don't really know what to expect, or are afraid I'm going to tell them how wrong he/she may be. Even if your partner is resistant, we can still do some good work on your end.
  • Do you do Christian Counseling?
YEP! I am devoted to my faith and can incorporate a theological perspective if you wish!
  • You mention you're Christian. I have different beliefs. Can I still see you?
ABSOLUTELY! Faith is an important part of my life, and I enjoy having the freedom to talk about it openly in session. But if it is not your cup of tea that's totally okay!
  • I am not married or in a relationship, but when I am I really struggle. Can you still help?
YES! Let's talk about challenges you typically face in relationships and get you ready and confident for your next one!
  • I don't have daycare. Can I bring my kid(s) with me?
I understand the struggles of no daycare! I Literally have one babysitter who I trust and if she can't do it, I am pretty much screwed. But it has been my experience that it can be challenging to talk about "hard stuff" with children in the room. I also get SUPER distracted with their cuteness and CANNOT resist engaging with them! I want to be able to give you my full attention. Children 10+ that can wait in the waiting room unsupervised will be permitted. Also newborns that are nursing are also welcome!
  • Do you take insurance?
As and Associate Marriage and Family Therapist, I cannot take insurance at this time. Sorry! However, you may be eligible to receive partial reimbursement for our sessions from your insurance provider. I can provide a "superbill" that can be submitted to your insurance company for potential reimbursement. In doing this, I will have to provide an accurate mental health diagnosis and it will become part of your permanent medical record. (If you have concerns about this just let me know!) You can then contact your insurance directly and they will let you know if they can cover some of the cost as an out-of-network provider.
  • What is your cancellation policy?
I require you to contact me 24 hours prior to your appointment to cancel or reschedule your session. I will not call or send text reminders for appointments. If you miss your appointment you will be required to pay the full cost of the session. I understand things happen and I can be flexible within reason.
  • Are you accepting new clients?
YES! Feel free to reach out!
  • I still have some questions...
Let's chat! I'd love to answer it!
